In recent years we have seen how manufacturers have experimented with new designs that, in most cases, sought to reduce the frames around the screen. After “Notch” and “drops of water”, many manufacturers have released a series of smartphones with the design of the retractable camera, perforated screen but it seems that everything has not stopped there. However, ZTE seems to be testing new ideas as it has unveiled the design of the Axon V, which for now is still at a very early stage of its development.
Thanks to the 3D camera system on the side, the ZTE Axon V will have ultra-thin fringes with a screen to screen ratio of almost 100%. This camera cluster looks like an expansion module of the main screen, protruding from the right edge and where two camera sensors are arranged vertically.
According to the report, ZTE Axon V will be equipped with a 6.8-inch OLED screen with a super-long frame rate of 21: 9, similar to Sony Xperia 1, Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus. In fact, 21: 9 is the optimal ratio for movies and therefore, this phone promises to give users extremely rich viewing experience.
Reportedly, ZTE said that the design of “selfie camera on the right side” will also help the phone have more free space to equip a large capacity battery. On the back, ZTE Axon V will also have a dual camera system placed on the same side and arranged vertically along the LED flash.
Because there is no back-of-face fingerprint sensor or fingerprint sensor built into the screen, the ZTE Axon V capability will come with the face unlock feature thanks to the 3D camera cluster on the front. Of course, this is still a concept and it’s not clear whether it will be realized or not.
