It is reported ZTE is now planning to launch a successor of its one of the most famous series ZTE Axon series. Today, the President of ZTE’s terminal business unit & the President of Nubia has officially confirmed that ZTE Axon 30 Pro is on its way. This statement was posted on Weibo by Ni Fei.
At the moment, there are no details about the ZTE Axon 30 Pro yet, and the company warms up the public with teasers, in which you can see only fragments of the silhouette of the smartphone.
According to the first official teaser, the ZTE Axon 30 Pro will receive a second-generation sub-screen camera, continuing the tradition of the ZTE Axon 20. Moreover, Ni Fei has confirmed the use of the Snapdragon 888 chipset. It follows that the company will release a flagship device, while the ZTE Axon 20 was a mid-range model.
The ZTE Axon 30 Pro is expected to have Android 11 out of the box, at least 30W fast wired charging. Other features it should have are NFC, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage. The Axon 30 Pro may also come along with siblings some of which may not be flagship phones. If the phone features the Snapdragon 888 S0C (as Ni Fei has confirmed) then it will also have 5G connectivity.
However, the launch date of the Axon 30 Pro has not been mentioned in the teaser image, but we are expecting the launch within Q1 of this year. A per reports Xiaomi is also planning to launch its under-display smartphone by this year so it is unlikely ZTE will delay the launch.
