On July 27, ZTE launched its Axon 30 phone in China, which is equipped with its second-generation off-screen camera. It went on sale in China on August 3 with prices starting at 2,198 yuan.
The Axon 30 will go on sale worldwide on September 9 at $499 for the 8GB+128GB version and $599 for the 12GB+256GB version. The ZTE Axon 30 will be sold in Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.
ZTE Axon 30 5G smartphone comes with a huge 6.92-inch AMOLED display with a 2400 x 1,080 pixel full HD + resolution and supports for 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate.
Axon 30 lower screen version has eliminated the screen window problem of the previous generation of the lower screen camera area, and the lower screen camera technology has been further improved. Equipped with independent UDC Pro screen display chip, multi-drive ACE circuit, 7 layers of permeable materials, etc., the highest refresh rate of 120Hz and pixel density of 400PPI (lower screen area) have been achieved. Transitions are more natural, pixels are doubled, and DC dimming is supported.
In terms of performance, ZTE Axon 30 5G is equipped with qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, a big improvement over last year’s Snapdragon 765G-equipped Axon 20. The device is equipped with 12GB of ram and 256GB of storage capacity. It also uses memory fusion technology to call up 8GB of virtual storage from flash memory.

For photography, the Axon 30 5G is equipped with a four-camera on the back, including a 64MP main sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. What also included are an 8-megapixel ultra-wide Angle camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front. ZTE Axon 30 comes with a built-in 4,200mah battery that supports 55W quick charging. Other features include USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connectivity.
