ZTE has unveiled in China the world’s first high-end Snapdragon 865 system phone. This is the ZTE Axon 10s Pro 5G, which is the successor to the ZTE Axon 10 Pro. The new version now comes with 5G support by default and many other cutting-edge technologies.
Power is coming from the Snapdragon 865 system chip, along with a separate 5G modem that supports SA and NSA 5G connectivity. In addition, the Axon 10s Pro 5G supports Wi-Fi 6 and has LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. The battery capacity is 4000mAh.
In addition, ZTE says it has developed an artificial intelligence engine called Z-Booster 2.0 that intelligently optimizes system resources with the help of artificial intelligence algorithms. According to ZTE, the new technology speeds up and optimizes the speed and graphics of games and many resources.
According to ZTE tests, application launch speeds increase by up to 120% compared to the original application launch speed of Android 10. As an operating system, the Axon 10s Pro 5G will see the Android 10-based MiFavor 10, which has clearly upgraded the interface and optimized, among other things, battery consumption. Among other things, the MiFavor 10 offers a dark space that is already promised to save battery power. In addition, ZTE has optimized the interface to match the look of the device.
Unfortunately, ZTE has not yet confirmed the exact specifications of its Axon 10s Pro 5G. However, the pictures show the device with a curved display panel, a teardrop notch solution, and an integrated fingerprint reader. There is a triple camera and LED flash at the back.
More importantly, the Snapdragon 865 supports a processing speed of 2 billion pixels per second, so smartphones equipped with this platform will support 30fps / 8K or 64fps / 4K video shooting in the future. At the same time, this flagship processor supports up to 200MP cameras. In addition, the Snapdragon 865 is equipped with a 5th-generation AI engine, which has twice the computing power of 15 times per second than the previous generation Snapdragon 855. A faster AI engine means more advanced photography and faster real-time translation capabilities for smartphones.
The ZTE Axon 10s Pro will not be released in full until early 2020, so there is still much to wait for the new phone to arrive. At least one color version available is gray in the pictures. ZTE has announced at an event in China that it will release nearly 10 5G smartphones globally and more than 15 5G terminals in its home market.
