Zeiss has released Zeiss VR One vr headset based on Google Cardboard in 2014. After two years, it has finally released the latest VR One Plus VR Headset which is the upgraded version of Zeiss VR One. It’s said it can support 4.7inch to 5.5inch smartphone for Android OS or IOS OS and has more sophisticated lens than the last one. It has 100 degree viewing angle. Although Zeiss claims this vr headset will support the upcomingDaydream platform and Android N OS, according to google, they have not cooperated officially. So we can see the One Plus VR belt and inner foam can be removable.
In addition, it can be used with DJI Inspire 1. When users wears Zeiss VR One plus, we can see Inspire 1 aerial videos in our angle and supports enlarge or narrow function. This time One Plus uses SLAM scan from Dacuda patent, a 3D scanning company. It can create a real 3D virtual scene by smartphones’ camera and SLAM Scan, which means users can also enjoy the indoor tracking like HTC Vive, but only limits in six free angles around the VR headset. In addition, VR one plus can also use Steam VR applications by USB cable with computers.
According to the latest news, Zeiss VR One Plus VR Headset has started to preorder at 129usd, and will be released officially in August. This VR headset will bring the new innovation for our VR experience.
