Yesterday Sony held a conference on the launch of its latest smart phone in Taiwan, the Xperia XA2 Plus. Sold for NT$15,990 (about $521), this smartphone is consistent with the ultra-narrow bezel design of the Xperia XA series. It comes in Green, Gold, and Black colour options.
The Xperia XA2 Plus features a 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. It also has Image Enhance Technology which should make the content appear better. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor with Adreno 508 GPU. There are two configuration models featuring 4GB of RAM with 32GB storage and 6GB of RAM with 64GB storage. It further supports microSD cards for those want more storage.
It has a 23MP rear shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree wide-angle lens, and Hybrid auto-focus. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.4 aperture and 120-degree super wide-angle lens. It means regardless of whether you are using the rear or front camera, you can expect to get better and wider shots.
The whole package is powered by a 3580mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. It runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. There is also a fingerprint scanner, NFC support, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus measures 157x75x9.6mm in dimensions, and it weighs around 205 grams. Sony has priced the Xperia XA2 Plus at NT$15,990 (about $521) in Taiwan. And its first official sale in Taiwan will take place sometime in September.
