Yi, a renowned American manufacturer specially known for its alliance with Xiaomi, has released its first PTZ camera for sale. We are talking about the new Xiaomi Yi Camera PTZ 2K, a surveillance camera capable of recognizing people and hiding automatically.
In detail, we are facing a surveillance camera with a 3MP sensor capable of recording at a 2K resolution of 2,304 × 1,296 pixels. In addition, its sensor has an aperture of f / 1.4, thereby facilitating the entry of light and achieving clearer and sharper recordings.
Among its features, this new camera from Xiaomi’s partner has 940nm infrared light capable of providing night vision to its photographic sensor. Thanks to this, its range in the dark reaches 5 meters, even with a light level of just 0.01 lumens.
As it is a PTZ type camera, this new Yi Camera PTZ 2K has automatic people recognition. Thanks to this, you are able to start recording intelligently once you have recognized a person in your viewing angle. In addition, this new camera from the Xiaomi partner has a small cover capable of automatically hiding its photographic sensor, thus allowing greater privacy in situations that require it.
In addition, this new surveillance camera has the direct recording in the cloud, AI detection at 20fps, 360-degree rotation, and an “hourglass” mode capable of summarizing 2 hours of image recording in just 5 seconds. Of course, it has a microSD slot of up to 128GB.
The price of this new Yi Camera PTZ 2K from the Xiaomi partner is 199 yuan (about $28.43). A really tempting price that we hope will end up arriving in Europe without an extra cost as noticeable as it has happened on other occasions.
