The company Xiaomi through its index Mi.com announced that the first of July suspends updates for the beta version of MIUI extensions on all devices involved in testing programs superstructure.
Xiaomi explains that the BETA program is designed for rock fans of companies who want to test new functionality before they are released to the general public. The program is primarily intended to help users give feedback to the company in order for Xiaomi to “better understand” the Android operating system in general.
The company further explains that by expanding its product portfolio, more and more users are starting to use the BETA version of the superstructure on a daily basis in their main devices instead of a stable version of the superstructure. This has implications on several “fronts”. The thing is that users are losing their full smartphone experience, and the second is that developers need to respond to frequent updates due to the increasing number of BETA testers.
The purpose of the BETA program is to give users feedback that most testers do not provide. In other words, the MIUI test versions must be constantly updated due to the increasing number of users (so that users do not experience the use of the smartphone), resulting in an increased update rate for Xiaomi, which has a negative impact on developers.
“MIUI Beta is not the primary way to experience new features, but a means to test software and provide suggestions to experienced users. As MIUI’s experience has matured, the need for stability is becoming increasingly important. Our team of engineers has decided to stop releasing the global version of MIUI Beta for all devices from July 1, 2019…. “.
However, Xiaomi users are assured that it will continue to communicate and discuss new interface functionality through multiple platforms.
