Xiaomi will release the third-generation under-screen camera technology next year and will achieve mass production of this new smartphone. In addition, it is learned from the supply chain that the screen supplier of this phone is China Star Optoelectronics, a subsidiary of TCL.
Previously, Xiaomi stated that Mi third-generation off-screen camera technology has solved two major problems in the industry. One is whether the display of the whole area can be visually the same as other areas (pixel compensation); the other is the transmittance of the camera’s Selfie and The colour cast caused. Xiaomi claims that Mi third-generation off-screen camera is currently the most advanced technology and will become the best solution in the full-screen era.
Xiaomi said that on the basis of the new pixel layout scheme, Xiaomi’s third-generation camera under the screen redesigned the pixel drive circuit to further improve the light transmittance of the camera area under the screen. Combined with the optimization algorithm of Xiaomi’s self-developed camera, the imaging performance was almost the same as that of the conventional front-facing camera.
Xiaomi previously used the Mi 10 Extreme Edition to demonstrate the third-generation under-screen camera display technology.
