Recently the internet went crazy with the appearance of an image of a mobile that looked like Xiaomi Mi Mix, but with smaller dimensions. Rumors that appeared then where saying that this is Xiaomi Mix Nano, a smaller version of the Mi Mix. But then a post appeared from the @ Zang Zhiyuan, Xiaomi marketing director that this rumor is incorrect, via a Weibo post that seems to have been deleted now, strangely enough.
The appearance of the Xiaomi Mi Mix Nano would have been something really great, as this could mean more people could buy since it would come with a more affordable version of specs. Also could be more easy to hold and carry around, since having a 6.44 inch device is not easy to put in a pocket. The curious thing is that several alleged renders of the device were even leaked but of course they were not clear enough to make out the details of the device.
According to the rumors, the smaller version of the Mi Mix, should go under the name Xiaomi Mi Mix Nano, featuring a 5.5-inch display. Under the hood should have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor which goes with the Adreno 503 GPU. In addition, the Mini device is said to pack only 4GB RAM as well as 64GB of internal storage.
Well if the post that appeared for some time is true, then everything was just smoke. Zang Zhiyuan, said that the appeared photos where just the handwork of another brand using “low level trick” to promote their device. Well, I guess in marketing everything can be seen, but still seems very strange that this post denying the existence of the Mi Mix Nano, is deleted now. Perhaps was incorrect or should be rephrased somehow, since accusing other companies is not good, will see. We still wait for an official statement from Xiaomi, that will not be deleted, saying what is the true in these images. What do you think about them!?
