Technology media smartprix published a blog post today (October 10), reporting that Xiaomi will launch the first Redmi phone equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chip on October 16 at the 2024 International Mobile Congress (IMC).
Igeekphone reported in July this year that Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chip to mainly popularize 5G networks, hoping to pull the price of 5G mobile phones down to $99 (Igeekphone note: currently about 701 yuan).
The Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chip supports Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 5 and is equipped with a Qualcomm Kryo CPU with two 2GHz performance cores and six 1.8Ghz efficiency cores.
The latest news is that this upcoming Redmi phone may have a 6.7-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. It may also be equipped with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP selfie camera, 5000mAh battery, 18W charging, and Android 14 and MIUI, of course, the biggest highlight is the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chip.
