Until now, as we know, the only way to buy a Xiaomi device was only online, from websites and other online stores. From a long time, Xiaomi fans across the globe were urging the Chinese company to start selling its smartphones via Brick and Mortar stores. It seems that Xiaomi finally has granted the fans their wish and will start selling its recently unveiled smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Pro via offline channels for the first time along with online.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro was launched recently. While we learned the price, and didn’t manage to learn the official release date. However, Xiaomi announced today on Weibo that Redmi Pro will start selling on 6th of August. The good news is as we said, Xiaomi will starting selling the device and offline!
Xiaomi will start selling offline as the company tries to increase its profit. Companies like Vivo, Huawei, and Oppo are already reaping the benefits of selling their smartphones at physical stores. Xiaomi Redmi Pro will start selling from 10 AM on 6th August in eight cities for start: Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Jinan, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Zhengzhou. That is if you want to shop in person, presumably online shopping will be more flexible.
Xiaomi has already mentioned that will open more physical stores to more cities, in order to expand its network. Buyers will be able to get the phone on a first-come-first-serve basis, as the units will surely go out of stock soon due to the immense demand. The first 50 buyers of the phone will get some gifts from Xiaomi.
From the translation we understand that buyers could get a “sufficient” cashback. The post on Xiaomi’s official Weibo page says that there will be a live broadcast interaction event with users wining prizes, perhaps Xiaomi Mi Band 2, as it is mentioned in the post.
Of course, all these is for buyers in China. When it will go officially worldwide we still don’t know. We are sure Xiaomi will announce the phone soon for other markets, so be alert!
