Xiaomi is the King of the mid-range, and at this point we have no doubt about it, is one of the few companies capable of launching a terminal with specifications and features of medium-high range for a price less than $250, and If you do not look at the Xiaomi Mi A1 or the Redmi 5 Plus. What is clear is that both in the low and mid-range and in the high range, the company is at a brutal level.
The next smartphones to prove it will be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, which will be presented tomorrow, and whose specifications have already been leaked in full, let’s see them!
As you can see, it is a terminal practically the same as the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, which possibly changes some concrete parameter of the design, but which, really and as far as we know, will not be too much change with respect to said terminal.
According to the leaked image, the phone will come with a 5.9-inch Full-HD+ display with 2160 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and 2.5D curved glass. It has the well-known Qualcomm Snapdragon 625, 3GB or 4GB of Ram with 32GB or 64GB of internal memory respectively, as well as a 12MP rear camera with f / 2.2 focus, a 5MP front camera with LED flash and Beautify 3.0. There’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for added protection. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS. It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.
This implies that it will be a terminal that, in spite of its design changes, retains almost the same hardware as the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, which does not mean that it is bad, far from it, they are some specifications very good, that will suffice to all types of users to get a good performance in all situations.
On the other hand, this Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro itself is a relatively significant change from the past and the current generation of mid-range Xiaomi, as this introduces new features that we were expecting in the Redmi range.
And, here the processor changes, and finally we leave behind the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 to move to the Snapdragon 636, accompanied by 3GB, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, as well as a double rear camera of 12MP and 5 megapixels with focal f / 2.2 and f / 2.0 respectively, 20MP front camera with LED flash and Beautify 3.0. In addition, the terminal will have a storage of 32GB or 64GB depending on the version, as well as also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for added protection. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS. It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.battery of 4,000 mAh.
It is a qualitative leap with respect to everything we have seen so far in the Redmi range, which finally incorporates a dual camera, and that will improve its performance thanks to the change by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, and the introduction of a model with 6GB of Ram.
The above image shows the alleged Redmi Note 5 Pro placed on top of the iPhone X features with a glass on rear and vertically stacked dual rear cameras at its top-left corner. Since Redmi Note 5 Pro is a mid-range phone, it seems to be sporting a full metallic body. It sports a vertically arranged dual camera sensor that is separated by an LED flash.
Anyway, the truth is that tomorrow we will see the presentation of both terminals. To us, on paper, we think that the Redmi Note 5 is a rather unnecessary terminal, being the Redmi 5 Plus practically the same, while we see the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro as possibly the best option in the middle range for this year, in the absence of seeing the new Motorola.
