In recent times, Xiaomi has been generating buzz around several upcoming products. These include the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi Band 8 Pro, and the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max.
Today, there’s fresh information about the battery and charging capabilities of the Mi Pad 6 Max. Xiaomi has now shifted the spotlight to this tablet’s “privacy and security” aspects.
Based on the official teaser, the Mi Pad 6 Max is set to prioritize “intelligent privacy safeguards.” This will involve incorporating relevant hardware components flanking the front camera:
- Front ToF sensor: This feature supports presence detection. The screen activates upon detecting people nearby and deactivates when they move away.
- Permission indicator light: An intuitive real-time notification will be triggered when apps request sensitive permissions such as camera access.
At the time of writing, the configuration details of the Mi Pad 6 Max have been unveiled. These encompass a sizable 14-inch display, the potent Snapdragon 8+ flagship processor, Xiaomi’s versatile Free Workbench, and a tailored edition of WPS Office PC for Pad that promises a PC-level user experience. The tablet also boasts a proprietary G1 battery management chip and 33W reverse fast charging. However, a debate has emerged as Xiaomi faces criticism for not allowing the transfer of WPS Office PC for Pad to older models.
Concerning accessories, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max lineup includes notable additions like a fresh, intelligent touch keyboard and the Mi Focus stylus.
