Today’s 2022 Lei Jun annual speech, Xiaomi’s second flagship phone with a folding screen, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, was officially released, priced from 8,999 yuan.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 unfolds as thin as 5.4mm, folds as thin as 11.2mm, and is as light as 262g, with balanced weights on the left and right sides. It has two colors “Xingyao Gold” and “Moon Shadow Black”. Mi MIX Fold 2 is equipped with Xiaomi’s self-developed micro-droplet shaped hinge, which is 18% thinner and 35% lighter; it is equipped with a miniaturized hinge mechanism and super wear-resistant MIM alloy; it also has a carbon fiber double-wing floating plate and a hinge integrated precision process, space three-dimensional stacking, ultra-thin screens, etc.
In terms of screen, MIX Fold 2 is equipped with an 8.02-inch 2K+ ultra-clear inner screen, using Eco²OLED ultra-thin flexible screen; the outer screen is 6.56-inch 21:9 ratio, no longer a “remote control”. The machine is also equipped with UTG ultra-thin flexible glass, only 0.03mm, the strength is increased by 2.25 times, and the crease is low.

In terms of software, MIX Fold 2 is equipped with MIUI Fold 13, which is redesigned for folding screens, including the following features:
