Today, the Product Director of Xiaomi and General Manager of MIUI Experience Xiaofan announced on Weibo that the Xiaomi’s focus mode has entered the beta version. This feature can be turned on in Settings > Screen Time Management.
Specifically, the main objective of this new functionality is to avoid being distracted by the content displayed on our smartphone and we can concentrate completely on other tasks we want to perform.
In detail, Focus allows us to adjust a time interval, either 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 or even 90 minutes. Once activated and while it lasts we can only perform certain actions with our smartphone such as receiving and making calls or taking photographs.
In addition, in this period of time, we will not receive notifications of other installed applications, so that we do not divert our view to the terminal screen, allowing us to fully concentrate on another activity.
Without a doubt, a very interesting functionality that demonstrates once again that Xiaomi continues to think about the health and digital goods of its followers. For now, this new option is only available in the open beta of the Chinese ROM of MIUI 11 although it is very likely that it will arrive shortly to other Custom ROMs such as the Xiaomi EU.
