Recently Xiaomi’s sub-brand Mijia launched a 3-axis gimbal that’s specifically for its affordable 4K action camera. while there are many handheld gimbals out there in the market, till date Xiaomi has not launched any gimbal for the smartphones. However, today the company has officially released a gimbal of Mijia-brand for the smartphones.
On the front design, Mejia’s new gimbal looks just like the one recently launched for the action camera. it’s priced at 599 Yuan (about $93) and will be on sale in China starting June 16th. The new Mijia gimbal offers 3-axis stabilization to devices smartphone and action cameras. It includes high precision angle sensors and full closure servo system for real-time stabilization with 0.03-degree accuracy.
However, As we know that smartphone can have a maximum width of 86mm and weight of 200 grams. It can be used for time-lapse photography by pairing with the app. there’s also an option to quickly activate the selfie mode. This gimbal can auto follow the locked subject similar to other best-selling gimbals. Once the subject is selected in the app, the gimbal can follow it 360-degrees.
The Xiaomi Mijia Gimbal can also be used for charging the smartphone and supports up to 5V/1.5A output. it’s a built-in 5,000mAh battery that can last up to 16 hours and with a large battery and polycarbonate shell, the Mijia handheld gimbal weighs is simply 476 grams. On the bottom edge, it also got a 1/4-inch standard screw for attaching to other accessories like a tripod. Not like the earlier launched gimbals, I hope Xiaomi does not limit for its new Mijia gimbal only for the market of China.
