A new Xiaomi smartwatch has been approved by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). According to the information found in the database, the watch would be the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite, supposedly an economical version of the Chinese Mi Watch announced in 2019.
According to the FCC record, the Mi Watch Lite will have a sensor to measure heart rate 24h, a 1.4-inch color HD screen, and the ability to automatically change the screen brightness. However, its design will not follow the same line as previous models, having a square shape.
The back showing the model number is REDMIWT02 – this is another version of REDMIWT01 that has been previously approved by the Chinese MIIT agency. About knowledgeable said this device will launch in China as the Redmi Watch. The Mi Watch Lite promises to offer competitive prices to gain space in countries where the purchasing power of the vast majority of the population is not high.
Also according to the information, the Mi Watch will have water-resistance of up to 50 meters deep and can recognize when the person is swimming. The sensors on the smartwatch are good enough to provide accurate data on the execution of exercises during the user’s physical activities.
An important point that should be mentioned is the presence of GPS in the Mi Watch Lite, reducing the dependence of the wearable with a smartphone. In addition, through its 230 mAh battery, it is possible to use the watch for days on a single charge.
