The house of Lei Jun has set an event for next 10 August: during the speech for the 10 years since the first range of smartphones of the brand, the CEO and founder will present the new Mi MIX 4 to the world. But in addition to the flagship there will also be other news and among these is the Xiaomi Mi OLED TV 2nd generation, presumably with the name of Master 2.
The company has not yet confirmed the name of the range but given the debut of the Mi TV Master family last year, Xiaomi could lean towards an encore. However, as soon as there will be news we will update this article. As for the characteristics of the new models, at the moment the Chinese company has limited itself only to published a teaser poster, with the announcement of the second generation of Xiaomi Mi OLED premium TV.
The first Mi TV Master debuted at a price of 12,999 yuan (roughly $2011), but it is now available at a discounted price of 9999 yuan (about $1546) in China. Mi TV Master features a 10-bit 65-inch OLED panel with 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, MEMC, 98.5% DCI-P3 color gamut, 1,000,000: 1 contrast ratio, 1,000 nits maximum brightness, HDR10 + support, Dolby Vision, and a response of 1 ms. The TV is powered by a MediaTek MTK9650 processor with a Mali-G52 MC1 GPU combined with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage for personal content.
On the other hand, Xiaomi must focus a lot on the development of MIUI 13, after the MIUI 12 flop only partially solved with MIUI 12.5, whose development has inevitably slowed down that of the next version.
