Xiaomi’s return to the tablet segment was officially announced months ago. Since then, there have been rumors and leaks of information about the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, with the launch expected for this quarter.
There have been rumors before that the Mi MIX 4 and Mi Pad 5 series will be accompanied by the debut of the MIUI 13 new system, which will change the bloated and stuttered image of the MIUI 12 series. The overall design is more concise, at the same time smooth, functional, and brings new multi-screen collaboration functions.
However, according to the latest news from the well-known blogger @数码闲聊站, the MIUI 12.5 system has been pre-installed on several Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 models previously reported, and the latest MIUI 13 system is missed, and even the debut time of the system will be there. It was postponed and could not be released as scheduled in August.
However, although there is no blessing of MIUI 13, the hardware specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Tab 5 series can also be eye-catching.
Recall that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is expected in three versions: Mi Pad 5 Lite, Mi Pad 5, and Mi Pad 5 Pro. Several rumors point that they will arrive with MediaTek Dimensity 1200, Snapdragon 860, and Snapdragon 870 processors, respectively. At least the most expensive model is expected with an 11” inch panel with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Like other competitors, AMOLED is left out, and we will have IPS LCD panels.
As for a release date, Xiaomi is slow to confirm an official date. However, information leaks indicate that this will be presented as early as next August in China, alongside the desired Mi MIX 4.
