Xiaomi Mi Band 4 has just been certified by the Taiwanese government agency NCC; the documents reveal, in particular, several photos of the main body, while the bracelet still remains shrouded in mystery. The new generation of the wearable has model code XMSH07HM, and it seems reasonably similar to the one currently on the market, the Mi Band 3 that we reviewed last summer.
On the back you can clearly see a sensor for heartbeats; on the front, it seems that there is no longer the crowning of the glass at the capacitive button, but the quality of the photos is not sufficient for a certain evaluation. Here are the photos easily available on the fccid.io website (link at the bottom of the article, heading FONTE).
Looking further into the Taiwanese site of the NCC, Droidshout’s colleagues found more photos showing a dismantled unit. In addition, details emerge on a version with NFC chip for mobile payments: it will be code-named XMSH06HM. In all likelihood, this model will remain exclusive to the Chinese market, as happened with Mi Band 3.
We don’t have many other details on the wearable, except that from a previous certification the Bluetooth will be in version 5.0. It is worth noting that these certifications generally occur shortly before the presentation, even if it is a rule with its fair share of exceptions. What is “certain” is that Xiaomi Mi Band 4 will arrive by the end of the year – at least according to the statements of the managing director of Huami, a company that deals with the material production of the device.
