Not long ago, reports from XDA revealed that Xiaomi is developing a new smartphone code-named “Pyxis”. The phone is rumored to be the successor to Mi 6X and Mi A2, which is expected to be launched internationally as Mi A3 and running Android One. Today, a new leak has just revealed almost the full configuration of the Mi 9X and said it will be released in this month.
GSM Arena reported Mi 9X would be a smartphone with a 6.4-inch, AMOLED panel with a full HD resolution. It is a screen quite similar to the one we see in the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, design with few frames and notch in the shape of a drop.
By the way, this new Xiaomi Mi 9X will have the fingerprint sensor housed on the screen to take better advantage of the screen and the rear has a more uniform design. The design of it would be quite similar, likewise, to the aforementioned Redmi terminals, with that rear holographic color so characteristic.
Inside, there is a Snapdragon 675 processor, the same engine that makes possible the operation of the recent Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro. This eight-core processor with a clock speed of 2 GHz will be accompanied by a large 6GB RAM. The storage space is unknown, but surely the initial model starts in 64GB.
In the new Xiaomi Mi 9X, you can find a triple camera configuration, increasingly common in high-end terminals, consisting of the main sensor manufactured by Sony 48MP, a secondary sensor of 8MP and the third objective of the angular lens of 13MP. The front camera, located inside the screen notch, will house a 32MP sensor, with a pixel size of 0.8 microns.
From the software point of view, the laptop will be supplied with Android Pie and, as mentioned above, with MIUI 10 running. The battery capacity should be 3300mAh and will support a fast 18W Quick Charge 4.0+. The Smartphone would come on the market this month, but we do not yet know exactly when let alone whether this will also be the case in the Benelux. Mi 9X prices are expected to start at 1,699 yuan (about $250).
