Xiaomi Mi 8 is back strongly in the center of media attention thanks to a series of new information disseminated online. In the last hours, in fact, the new device of the Chinese company has received the two 3C and FCC certifications ( here and here ), showing respectively two reference model numbers: M1803E1A and M1805E2A.
Unfortunately, the information that emerged from the respective Chinese and American certification bodies is really minimal (or almost nil). The only 3C, in fact, provides some clarification about the type of recharge of the product that will be equipped with a power supply MDY-08-ES and support 5V3A / 9V2A / 12V1.5A with a charging power up to 20W.
The information on Xiaomi Mi 8, however, does not end here. On Weibo, in fact, a new image has been leaked (fourth image in the gallery above) with a large number 8 in the middle, which would confirm the presence of the product scheduled for May 31st in Shenzen, China.
Finally, we conclude with the possible sales prices leaked through a further image published in the Chinese social network. Xiaomi Mi 8 should, therefore, be available with two different memory cuts: the first, cheaper, with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, the latter with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
According to the same image (the fifth and last in the gallery above), Xiaomi Mi 8 should be equipped with a 6.01 “display, 3D facial recognition and SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. A total of four versions of the Mi 8 are planned, including one with 8 GB of RAM and 512GB of memory by 4900 yuan ($769). With 256GB of memory it would be 4500 yuan ($706) and with 128GB of memory 4100 yuan ($643).
Who wants to save, can access the “entry-level version” with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of memory, which then costs only 3,600 yuan ($565). How credible these prices are and whether the Mi 8 can actually come up as the first Android phone with 3D face recognition remains for the time being, however, still unconfirmed.
