Black Shark, the gaming-centric firm that is funded by Xiaomi will be launching the first gaming smartphone on April 13. Even though it will be sold under a different brand, it will be a second flagship from Xiaomi after the recently launched Mi MIX 2S. Also, the Chinese manufacturer is rumored to debut the Xiaomi Mi 7 flagship phone within the second quarter of this year. Fresh renders created on the basis of rumors surrounding the Mi 7 have surfaced. These renders do not belong to the actual handset, but the y have been created out of imagination. Still, the renders seem to appear similar to the next-generation Mi series flagship.
As it can be seen in the above renders, the Xiaomi Mi 7 can be seen sporting a very high screen-to-body ratio. It is speculated to feature an OLED display that will carry support for Always-On Display function. As the rumor mill has been claiming, the renders show the notched display. This suggests that the display of the Mi 7 may deliver 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. Also, the screen seems to be equipped with under-display fingerprint reader..
The rear panel of the smartphone that seems to be made out of glass features a vertically arranged dual camera setup. There is no confirmation on the launch date of the Mi 7, but it is speculated to get official by June. The Snapdragon 845 chipset will be powering the phone. It may borrow features like 256 GB storage, AI for dual camera and wireless charging from Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S.
