Xiaomi Mi 7 is the other flagship phone from the company apart from the rumored Mi MIX 2S. Previous rumors had claimed that the company may launch it at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 later this month. However, newer leaks claim that the company may launch it through a separate unveil event in March. A new video that showcases the Xiaomi Mi 7 concept render has been released on Science and Knowledge YouTube channel. The renders hint that the actual Mi 7 may arrive with a very impressive design.
The concept render shows that the Mi 7 would be equipped with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display that offers an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is speculated to deliver QHD+ resolution of 2,880 x 1,440 pixels. It is fueled by Snapdragon 845 chipset which is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM. Like the recently released Vivo X20 Plus UD, the Mi 7 is also rumored to house an in-screen fingerprint reader.
The backside of the device has a vertically aligned dual camera setup that appears different from the rear camera design available on the iPhone X. An LED flash is positioned between the two camera sensors. It features a single front-facing camera. As far as the design of the Mi 7 concept render is concerned, it can be seen sporting glass panels on front and rear sides with a metallic frame placed in between. Lastly, the handset is shown only in two colors like black and blue.
