Xiaomi is reportedly working on the successor of Mi 5X that was announced in July last year. The rumor mill has already revealed the design of the Xiaomi Mi 6X. It is speculated to sport full screen design and its rear is expected to feature a vertically arranged dual camera setup like the iPhone X and Redmi Note 5 Pro.
In the new renders, the Mi 6X can be seen in three colors like Silvery, Gray, and Black. Its front and rear sides are made out of glass and it features a metallic frame. It features an IPS LCD display that supports full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and offers an aspect ratio of 18:9. The size of its display 6 inches.
The Snapdragon 636 chipset that powers the Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus ZenFone 5 is shown as the chipset that will be powering the Xiaomi Mi 6X. It is running on Android 8.0 Oreo and the latest MIUI 9 version. Since the Mi 5X was made available Mi A1 Android One phone outside of China, it is rumored that Xiaomi will be launching the MI 6X as the Mi A2 out of the home market.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is likely to arrive in 32 GB and 64 GB storage sizes and 3 GB and 4 GB RAM options. Its rear may feature 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup with 2x optical zoom. It is likely to feature 20-megapixel front camera. Its features include 3,600mAh battery, 3.5mm audio jack, fingerprint scanner and USB-C.
