Xiaomi, one of the leading Chinese tech giants, recently announced that the development version of some of its models would be discontinued. In its 596th-week release announcement and update log, Xiaomi Community MIUI announced that the development version of Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K40 Pro+, Redmi K40, Mi 10S, Mi 11 Youth Edition, Redmi K40 Gaming Plus, and Redmi Note 10 Pro would be discontinued from April 21, 2023. This decision was made to focus on the development and official versions of MIUI.

According to the company, starting from MIUI based on Android 13, the focus will be on the development and the official versions. The MIUI system development is a test version provided to many experienced geek fans for problem feedback and testing.
