Leica today announced a further upgrade to Xiaomi’s mobile image optical system solution, which will be available on Mi 13 Ultra this month.
Leica says this collaboration with Xiaomi brings further upgrades to its mobile image optical system solution and Leica’s most complete Summicron lens in the mobile image space to date. From wide Angle to telephoto, different mobile phone lenses have achieved consistent excellent optical performance, which can be described as a rite of passage for mobile images.
Xiaomi Wang also confirmed in the comments that the Mi 13 Ultra will be available this month.
Based on previous leaks, the Mi 13 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen2 flagship platform and is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Samsung AMOLED LTPO E6 display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
In addition, it is expected to have four cameras on the back, including a 50MP main camera, which is supposed to be a 1-inch SONY IMX989 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide Angle lens and two 50MP telephoto lenses, and a 32MP camera on the front.
Elsewhere, it will offer 12/16GB of RAM and 256/512GB of storage, but may not have a 1TB version, run Android 13-based MIUI 14, and is expected to have a 4900mAh battery that supports 90W fast charge and 50W wireless charging.
