It’s been a few months since the launch of xiaomi’s mi 12 series , and it looks like Xiaomi is already making preparations for its successor. Traces of the Mi 12S and Mi 12S Pro have recently been spotted. It is expected to offer slightly upgraded specifications and features over standard models. Little is known about either device, but the Mi 12S series is rumored to be powered by the SM8475, or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 + chip.
Now, mi 12S and Mi 12S Pro appear in IMEI databases and Mi codes. The two devices share the same design language and specifications as the current flagship Mi 12 Series, except for the SoC. The new phone is expected to be released this summer.
As we said, Mi 12S and MI 12S Pro were found in IMEI database, among which 2206122SC is the model of Mi 12S Pro and 2206123SC is Mi 12S.
Another piece of information was found about the Mi 12S and mi 12S Pro. The latest leak involves code names for both devices. According to our previous scoop, the Mi 12S Pro is codenamed “Unicorn,” while the Mi 12S is codenamed “Diting.”

Upcoming smartphones will be powered by snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chips. This is an upgraded version of the processor used in the Mi 12 and Mi 12 Pro, so we can expect higher performance. There are some differences between the two versions of the processor. On the one hand, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ is more energy efficient, so the Mi 12S and 12S Pro will have better battery life. Also, Snapdragon Gen 1+ is faster than Gen 1.
