Yesterday, Samsung presented two brand new camera sensors for smartphones, the 200MP ISOCELL HP1 and the 50MP ISOCELL GN5. The latter could debut in the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra because the most extremely reliable Leaker Digital Chat Station has indicated that Xiaomi’s next-generation flagship will be equipped with a 50MP main camera.
This does not mean that the 200MP sensor is not additionally installed, but according to the leaker, the main camera offers an exciting feature, namely the ability to record slow-motion videos with up to 1920 frames per second. This function is hardly surprising, however, since the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra was able to record slow-motion videos in 1080p resolution at 1920 fps.
The videos embedded below, which were recorded with the Mi 11 Ultra, give an insight into what such slow-motion videos can look like. Rumor has it that the Mi 12 Ultra will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 and a 120 Hz AMOLED display, the frame rate of which can be dynamically reduced to 1 Hz to save power.
Another rumor has it that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra could be charged with 200 watts in an extremely short time (source: GizChina ). Up to now, 120 watts per cable has been the standard. Xiaomi recently published a video in which 200 watts are possible wirelessly.
If the Xiaomi 12 Ultra can be charged with 200 watts, that would be a new record in a smartphone that is actually sold. From 0 to 100 percent, the smartphone would be full in 8 minutes. It all sounds very beautiful. I just hope that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will look like in the render below.
The Xiaomi Mi 12 series is expected to be officially presented in November, rumors suggest that the base model will hit the market first, and the Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro and Mi 12 Ultra will follow in the following months. At the launch, Xiaomi should still do without MIUI 13, instead, the flagship will be delivered with the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.
