Since the Mi 8 series, Xiaomi has been releasing the youth version of the new device under the name of Lite series. Sources say the Mi 12 Lite model will be released this year. Although the Mi 12 Lite is similar to the Mi 12 series in design, it is more similar to the Mi CIVI phone in general features.
The mi 12 Lite boasts a hybrid design of the Mi Civi and mi 12, according to the report. The Mi 12 Lite will be sold as the L9 and codenamed Taoyao. It will feature a 6.55-inch 3D curved OLED screen with a resolution of 1080×2400, a refresh rate of 120Hz, FOD support and on-screen fingerprint recognition. It is powered by snapdragon 778G + or more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 7XX series chips. The Mi 12 Lite has three rear cameras, and its main camera is a 64 megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW3. It also has ultra-wide angle and macro lenses to assist the main camera. None of them were equipped with OIS optical stabilization. The device will also have stereo speakers.
In terms of technical specifications, the Mi 12 Lite will have almost the same features as the Mi CIVI. With a 6.55-inch 3D curved screen, a 64 megapixel triple camera and other features, the Mi 12 Lite is very similar to the Mi CIVI model. The Mi 12 Lite comes pre-loaded with MIUI 13, which is based on Android 12, and is available internationally.
Another Mi 12 Lite Zoom was sadly abandoned. Xiaomi stopped developing the Mi 12 Lite Zoom device after changing its mind in November. Sadly, we won’t be seeing any zoom camera phones this year.
