Xiaomi is expected to extend its 11-series family in India this month. According to a new report, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE may make its debut in September, joining the 4G model launched in June. For 91Mobiles, the phone will have a release date in September, but the exact date on the calendar remains uncertain.
What is apparent is that the “New Edition” model will bring 5G connectivity to the market. In addition, reports also point to the Snapdragon 778G SoC in use, an upgrade from the Snapdragon 780G of the original 5G model. This chipset collision would put the device against the Samsung Galaxy A52s and Realme GT Master Edition in the under Rs 30,000 segment.
As for its other features, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE may have similar specs to the Mi 11 Lite 5G available in China and Europe. This would include a 6.55-inch 90 Hz AMOLED, a 4250mAh battery with a 33W charge, and a 64MP + 8MP + 5MP rear camera. Visually, the two devices can share similar design features and slim bodies.
While the Mi 11 Lite 4G model brought in a price tag of Rs 21,999 ($299), the more powerful Mi 11 Lite 5G NE model is likely to demand a little more money when landing.
