The Chinese company will soon present the new Xiaomi Mi 10T series, consisting of a basic model, a variant Pro and a version Lite, one of these smartphones have been spotted with the model number M2007J35G. It would be the mysterious smartphone with the code name Apollo, even appeared on GeekBench during the summer.
And now, according to a new leak, the same smartphones will be launched in China under the Redmi brand. The new leak comes from a trusted insider Digital Chat Station via his Weibo account. The source shared in a post a screen refresh rate setting page that would presumably correspond to the ” Apollo ” phone. The post is accompanied by a caption hinting that the device will be launched as a Redmi phone in China.
Until now, displays with a high refresh rate on Xiaomi phones have performed dynamically. This means that, in devices such as the Redmi K30 (POCO X2) and the Redmi K30 Ultra with 120Hz panels (IPS and AMOLED, respectively), the refresh rate is not maintained in all situations, but rather, to optimize consumption energy, adjusts to the content displayed on the screen.
This setting for the screen refresh rate will have an improvement in future versions of MIUI. The screenshot confirms that among the options, users will be able to choose the refresh rate they prefer. This functionality will make its debut in the next Xiaomi Mi 10T series of phones, which in China would arrive under the Redmi brand. The screen refresh rate setting page will have four options: 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz. This will allow a fixed frequency rate to be maintained at all times.
In a previous post, Digital Chat Station revealed more details of this screen (which will be IPS ). First, it will offer MEMC, enhancing the fluidity of content moving at a standard refresh rate.
It will also have a very small 3.8mm (diameter) hole. Finally, the screen will be supplied by TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology, also known as Shenzhen Huaxing Photoelectric Technology Co. Ltd. Recall that the 90Hz AMOLED screen of the Xiaomi Mi 10 comes from the same company.
In related news, the Xiaomi Mi 10T series won’t be the only devices to be rebranded as Redmi phones in China. According to the same informant, the POCO X3 NFC that we know will have the same destination.
