Xiaomi is expected to hold an event on August 11 in China to launch a number of products as part of its 10th birthday. One of the products as confirmed by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun is the Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition which will bear another name, namely Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra in the global.
Ahead of the launch, several details have emerged sequentially regarding the features the special edition model will pack. Perhaps, the most interesting of all the details we found was the Ice Universe, an insider assures that the Mi 10 Ultra will shock the world, but did not elaborate on why.
This tweet was answered by Ross Young (founder of the research companies Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch) stating that the device will be the first smartphone with a front-facing camera under the display. But volume will be (shockingly) small…:) Mostly a demo product from what I hear.
However, many sources hint that the smartphone will be released in extremely limited quantities, so it is unlikely that a large number of users will be able to try the function in action. This is due to the fact that the device is rather a demo device and is not intended for general sale. And that goes against Lei Jun’s promise to make this device readily available for purchase.
Another leak hints that Xiaomi will release two versions of the Mi 10 Ultra. One will have a ceramic backdrop and the other will have a fully transparent back panel. Along with this rumor, there is also information that the version with a ceramic back panel will be sold in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB versions. The transparent back model will be available in 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB variants.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is expected to feature an AMOLED display with FHD + resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The device must be powered by the Snapdragon 865+ chipset. The device is also expected to come with a 4500mAh battery with 100W or 120W fast wired charging and 55W wireless charging.
