One of the duties that Xiaomi has with users is to be able to integrate a PC desktop mode. But before reaching the utopia of making our smartphone a true PC environment, Xiaomi adds the Screen Combo function to the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, which is currently only in beta and in just this model.
The Screen Combo function allows us to synchronize the screen of our smartphone with the Wi-Fi network of our laptop or tower PC. In this way, the screen of our Xiaomi smartphone can be reflected on the screen of our computer and thus be able to use the smartphone on the PC, being able to navigate at the click of a mouse and use all the functions of the smartphone with mouse and keyboard.
Thus opening a world of possibilities to be able to use our smartphone Mi or Redmi on the screen of our computer and use the apps that we want in a simple way in a mobile interface on the screen. Very similar to what we know in the world of programming as an emulator.
In addition to being able to use the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra on the PC screen, we can share files from the PC to the smartphone by simply dragging the files to the “emulator” that shows the smartphone on the screen.
This function is very similar to that of sharing the screen with television but improving usability by being able to open and navigate apps on PC. Best of all, you don’t need anything more than a Wi-Fi connection to be able to draw a connection between the two devices. Even so, this functionality is far from having a smartphone that can be used as a PC.
At the moment, as we said, this function is only found in the MIUI 12 Chinese ROM and also in its private beta. That is why for the moment we will have to wait a long time until it appears in the Global version of MIUI 12.
