Earlier rumours suggested August 1st as the launch date for the Xiaomi’s first ever Xiaomi MI VR headset but that didnt happen. Xiaomi posted 4 vidoes (Titled VR) on the Chinese website Youku couple of days ago but unfortunately they were all locked down.
Instead of the VR itself, came out a trailer giving a possible hunt of the VR launch this 4th. This trailer doesn’t reveal much information about the VR but just shows an old man and a old woman asking questions to another man.
Back this year in May, Google launched the much awaited Daydream platform during Google I/O. Also it was said that Xiaomi was working on VR hardware and software. The best thing about this Xiaomi’s VR is that it will follow the standards of the Google’s Daydream platform as the General manager of Xiaomi, Tang Mu said. So this is going to be a happy news for the Xiaomi owners as the Daydream compatibility will help Xiaomi optimize MIUI for VR.
Until Thursday, this 4th we can expect for the other trailers about Xiaomi MI VR from the Xiaomi’s Weibo account to be released too. Lets hope this date doesn’t get skipped this time. Stay Tuned!
