The mobile phone market is getting bland when smartphones start to be priced at the same price. Xiaomi looks forward to changing this by launching QIN – a mobile phone with a built-in Xiao AI virtual helper.
QIN is not just a handset – it also has an IR sensor that functions as a remote control. Additionally, it has a 2.8-inch QVGA color display with a T9 keyboard, using thin design, 3D speakers, hybrid SIM slot, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi and 1480mAh battery charging USB-C ports. AI voice features are the main highlight of this smartphone that promises real-time voice translation in 17 languages. The AI can also tell a story or poetry to children, in addition to answering questions.
This handset offers two variants, 2G and 4G. For 2G variants, it is generated with MT6260A-ARM7 chips, 8MB memory RAM, 16MB storage and running Nucleus operating system. Meanwhile, the 4G version is powered by SC9820E-A53, 256MB RAM memory, 512MB of storage and runs the Android-based MOCOR5 operating system.
Xiaomi QIN AI Phone is offered in two colors, black and white. The Qin Ai Phone from Xiaomi is currently available in China under the Xiaomi crowdfunding platform for a price of 199 Yuan ($29.19). Xiaomi is seen only selling QIN for the Chinese market only.
