Xiaomi’s first smartphone with the new Snapdragon 710 SoC was launched alongside the Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition in May this year. The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE arrived in two RAM/ storage options namely – 4GB RAM /64GB storage and a 6GB RAM/64GB storage option. However, now the Chinese company has added a new 128GB variant to the Mi Store for all those who crave for more internal storage capacity. This variant has been listed online in China with availability pegged to be “coming soon”.
The Mi 8 SE smartphone comes with a 5.88-inch display with a screen resolution of 2244×1080 pixels and an on-screen fingerprint sensor on the front. The phone runs on a Snapdragon 710 chipset, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The Mi 8 SE has a dual camera setup with 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors, whereas the front has a 20-megapixel front camera. Both cameras boast AI features, with scene recognition capabilities, AI Beautify, and AI background bokeh for the selfie camera. It runs on Android Oreo. Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, MIMO, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, VoLTE, and USB Type-C for connectivity. At the same time, Mi 8 SE has a 3120 mAh battery. The standard version of Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is available in three colors. But unfortunately, the new version of Xiaomi Mi 8 SE will be available in gray color only. Furthermore, the phone will cost higher than the standard version. The new phone will cost around $380.
