Today, the blogger @digital Chat station revealed that a flagship xiaomi product named L1, which is designed to position ultra-high-end products, it is tentatively scheduled to be released in Q2 next year. Equipped with an off-screen camera technology, the off-screen prototype has better measurement effect than mi MIX 4 and higher positioning than Mi 12.
It was previously revealed that the high-end flagship code-named L1 is part of the Mi 12 series. Speculation is that this ultra-high-end flagship with an under-screen camera technology could be the rumored Mi 12 Pro or Mi 12 Ultra.
We know that Mi MIX 4, released this year, has an under-screen camera. It gives them considerable transparency by rearranging the pixels and optimizing the substrate material, and moves the LIGHT-blocking TFT circuit underneath the pixels out of the CUP area so that light can be filtered through the gaps between the pixels.
At the same time, in order to increase light transmittance, Xiaomi also needs to continue to expand the gap of pixels, so a single sub-pixel needs to be reduced accordingly. After shrinking, the RGB ratio of pixels should remain the same to ensure the screen display effect. On the production line, mi MIX 4 calibrates the color temperature of the camera under the screen one by one to match the screen with the sensor’s hardware.
Mi MIX 4 went through several iterations before mass-producing its under-screen camera technology for commercial use to achieve a true full-screen effect. It is expected that xiaomi’s ultra-high-end flagship code-named L1 will be equipped with more advanced under-screen camera technology, which is worth looking forward to.
