MediaTek has officially launched the world’s first SoC with integrated 5G baseband chips and adopts ARM’s newly released A77 architecture and backward compatible 2/3/4G network. As for the support terminals that everyone is concerned about, the latest news has surfaced. According to the industry, insiders will be disclosed on Weibo, OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi have all opened the 5G mobile SoC of MediaTek, which can be shipped in the third quarter of this year.
In other words, manufacturers including Xiaomi, OPPO, and vivo have already decided to use MediaTek’s SoC with integrated 5G baseband chips. In the future, we will have new smart technologies to support 5G technology. However, the industry’s third-quarter shipment is not Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo’s MediaTek 5G new machine will be released this year, but MediaTek this SoC will send samples to the above customers in the third quarter of this year. The real terminal may come to the first quarter of next year.
It is worth noting that although MediaTek’s SoC uses the latest A77 architecture and the first integrated 5G baseband chip, the 7nm process technology is relatively inferior to Huawei’s 7nm EUV process from Qualcomm or Samsung’s next-generation processors. Some, there are also shortcomings in the support of the frequency band, it is expected that Xiaomi and OPPO and vivo may use its mid-range 5G smartphone.
