Recently, some netizens shared a few images of Xiaomi’s Prototype phone, which is known as the Comet. As you can see this Xiaomi Comet prototype is very surprising with three-level protection and supports IP68. But the main feature is not so much this, as the certification for protection level IP68. In this regard, we remind you that Lu Weibing spoke a few days ago.
In the term of the design, its back vaguely remembers the lines, which we have seen on Black Shark 3. Then there is a deep for the fingerprint scanner, and the bottom is marked with IP68.
At the front of the screen, as mentioned above, a fairly large faceplate with a camera and ear capsule. Exaggeratedly large there is not only the forehead but also the chin. In the lower part, it occupies the type-C connector for the 18W charger.
The interesting thing to note is the edges of the display: we can see that all around there is a particular slightly rounded finish. This is to protect the inside of the device from water.
Here instead we see the trey where there was originally only one slot for the SIM and one for the MicroSD. In addition to the power button and volume button on the side, there is also an independent button for Xiaoai.
In the core configuration
The Xiaomi Comet prototype device uses an LCD screen, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. That came accompanied by 4GB of RAM + 64GB of storage. The photographic section of this Xiaomi Comet is composed of two 12MP + 2MP lenses. While its battery capacity is 2900mAh and it features Bluetooth 5.0
As anticipated this device is equipped with IP68 certification and therefore with total protection against the ingress of dust and permanent immersion in water up to 3 m for an hour. It is reported that this code-named Comet was first discovered by XDA in 2018. And there was also a model code-named Sirius, which was later Xiaomi 8 SE.
