A new Xiaomi smartphone with the code name Chiron has seen again online this week, this time passed the database of the already known benchmarking site, GFXbench. The equipment had already been pointed out as being the Mi Mix 2 previously, but now that it has already been officially announced, we can verify that the specifications are different. This may indicate that the brand is working on other flagship equipment. For the Xiaomi Chiron is equipped with top specs, with a screen of 5.6 inches with the resolution of 1920 x 1080p, and a conventional aspect ratio of 16:9. Unlike Mi Mix 2 it has a 5.99-inch FHD + screen and a higher aspect ratio of 18:9.
Xiaomi Chiron Other specifications can still be compared to the Mi Mix 2, with the equipment listed coming with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and 6GB of RAM, with the addition of having 256GB of internal memory. It is not clear if this internal memory is expandable, and if it has not detected by the GFXbench a secondary SIM card slot. According to the same list, the Xiaomi Chiron comes with a 12MP camera in the rear, while the front has a 5MP camera for selfies. It should be accompanied at the rear with a flash and autofocus, HDR and face detection in addition to 4K recording. The second sensor on the front is QXGA 2048 x 1536 in terms of video, and does not seem to have flash.
This new Xiaomi Chiron was tested with Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the Xiaomi MIUI Interface. probably the MIUI 9. NFC should be part of the package while the heart rate sensor does not seem to be included in the smartphone, at least according to GFXbench. This Xiaomi Chiron could be a Mi 6 Plus that was already spoken in several rumors but never got to be divulged. With the brand launching a visually identical equipment, Mi Note 3 but with a mid-range SoC, it could well be this Chiron or Mi 6 Plus.
However, also need to track. As soon as there is more news about Xiaomi Chiron, we will quickly report to friends. I know for sure.
