During an event held in China, Xiaomi raised the curtain on CC9 and CC9e. These are the first smartphones that will be part of the new CC range announced in collaboration with Meitu, one of the start-ups acquired by the Chinese manufacturer. Designed for a younger audience, the new smartphones pay special attention to design and the photographic sector, now we discover together the new devices of the Chinese house.
Xiaomi CC9 is equipped with the Snapdragon 710 assisted by 6GB of RAM and 64 or 128GB of internal memory depending on the configuration chosen. The processor is called to move a large 6.39-inch display made with AMOLED technology and a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. Thanks to this choice, Xiaomi was able to integrate the biometric sensor directly below the screen.
There is a drop-shaped notch that houses the 32MP camera. The photographic sector is completed with a triple rear camera system composed of a 48MP main sensor assisted by a second 8MP sensor and a third 2MP sensor. Everything is powered by a 4030mAh battery that – in combination with the MIUI graphical interface – should be able to ensure excellent autonomy.
The NFC is present. The shell is made of glass and has several bright colors just to wink at a younger user. Specifically, the colors available are Blue Planet, White Lover and Dark Prince characterized by suggestive plays of light that recreate wavy lines on the back cover. Xiaomi CC9 will be available in China for 1799 yuan (approximately $261) for the 6/64GB version which will become 1999 yuan (approximately $290) for the 128GB version of storage.
Xiaomi CC9e, on the other hand, has a similar but slightly inferior technical sheet. On board, we find Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal memory. The display is 6.08 inches with a resolution of 1560 x 720 pixels always with an integrated biometric sensor. They do not change the battery and photographic compartment. The selling prices start at 1299 yuan (4/64GB) which corresponds to around $189 and reach 1599 yuan (around $232) for the 6/128GB version.
In addition to these versions, Xiaomi has introduced the one that is known from this moment as Meitu Custom Edition, which among other things carries the memories up to 8GB and 256GB, and that has the following price: Xiaomi CC9 Meitu CE with 8GB / 256GB: 2599 yuan (about $378).
