Since the production still needs to climb in the start-up period of Xiaomi Automobile, the bargaining power is not high, the cost of purchasing a battery pack starts at 80,000 yuan, and the battery cost accounts for about 50% of the vehicle cost. In order to reduce costs, Xiaomi Auto has made supply chain adjustments.
According to sources, Xiaomi Auto has made it clear that it does not rely on hardware (parts profit margin will remain at about 1%) and relies on software to make money.
This news is not the same as the previous rumors, the previous statement is that millet car will use the battery scheme of Ningde era and BYD, the former is supplied to 800V platform models (Kirin battery), the latter is supplied to 400V platform models (blade battery); However, BYD officials revealed that there is currently no Xiaomi car in the power battery supply list.
Last month, a photo of a suspected Xiaomi car battery pack nameplate was exposed, with a battery pack voltage of 726.7V and a battery capacity of 101kWh. With Ningde era lithium iron phosphate battery 800 yuan /kWh, ternary lithium battery 1000 yuan /kWh offer, this battery pack price will be higher than 80,000 yuan.
