Next Tuesday, Xiaomi is set to release its highly anticipated flagship, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. As Xiaomi’s top straight flagship, it boasts the brand’s most premium features and positioning. However, according to overseas sources, a model called the Xiaomi 13T Pro has recently obtained EEC certification, signaling its imminent global release.
Following Xiaomi’s naming conventions, the Xiaomi 12T Pro corresponds to the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition, and the upcoming Xiaomi 13T Pro is expected to be the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition or the Redmi K60 Ultra. Speculations suggest that the new model may make its official debut in the third quarter, possibly as early as July.
In terms of specifications, the Redmi K60 Ultra diverges from its sibling, the K60, in several key areas. While the K60 features a 2K screen and is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ chip, the K60 Ultra opts for a 1.5K screen and is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 series chip. Notably, MediaTek is expected to unveil an even more powerful Dimensity 9200+ chip in May, which may find its way into the Redmi K60 Ultra.
Built on TSMC’s cutting-edge 4nm process, the Dimensity 9200 series chip in the K60 Ultra comprises one Cortex-X3 super core, three Cortex-A715 cores, and four Cortex-A510 small cores. The performance core is optimized for pure 64-bit applications, delivering lightning-fast response speeds and exceptional performance. Additionally, the Redmi K60 Ultra is rumored to support 120W wired flash charging, offering a swift and convenient charging experience.
