Finally, the New Content Has Arrived
After around 140 days since Shadowlands release, we’re getting a new major content update on the PTR. Patch 9.1 tilted Chains of Damnation which will bring us the new dungeon, new raid, the continuation of the story, the new Maw zone and much, much more. The only question is – how much of this will be available on the PTR? Probably as much as the devs are confident enough to release in the testing realm. However, it could be that the first PTR patch will only let us play with the new covenant stuff and its updated systems. This would also be a useful opportunity because the numbers, stats, and other boring stuff need to be tested just like the more attractive visual content. But if that will be the case, it’ll only mean that the patch itself in its final form will not visit the normal servers until much later in the year.
About 7-10 days after the initial announcement of the arrival to the PTR, the patch did come out. No delays this time. And it added lots of new content to try out. First of all, there’s a new story quest that introduces players to the new area. That questline includes defending the Ardenweald against the Maw Sworn, then you and Ve’nari get to sneak into the new zone, establish the flight route from Oribos to Korthia. Finally, your char will join forces with all covenants and venture back into Korthia to establish a foothold as the first step in the war against the Jailor.
Time to Get Your Gear Battle-Ready
Sounds pretty amazing, doesn’t it? If you’re the type of person, who avoids the PTR server and likes to try things out as they arrive on normal servers in their final form, at least now you know what kind of adventure you’ll be embarking on when that happens. So far, the quest rewards are obviously not what they will be in the full version. The story of Shadowlands is nearing its climax in this patch, so rest assured that all events that will take place will be of epic proportions.
And if you’re excited to take part in this event, you really need to finish catching up with the gear, even if it is for your alts. This game is more focused on your character progression through improving gear. It’s not really focused on giving you meaningful gameplay where you’d spend time not chasing the numbers on your gear but exploring the world further and deeper. To that end, there are services which can help you catch up in absolutely no time. And if you click on the link provided in this article, you’ll see what we mean.
