Vuzix recently released a pair of AR glasses, the Vuzix Ultralite S, which are based on the OEM’s Ultralite platform and can be head-mounted hands-free connection with a smartphone or smartwatch.
In terms of design, the Vuzix Ultralite S is stylish and lightweight, and can be worn during exercise or training.
At the same time, the new AR glasses, like most smart glasses, need to be used with mobile phones, and it mainly relies on advanced optical waveguide lenses and micro-LED screens to display many information such as navigation directions, chat information, health and sports information for users.
In addition, the Vuzix Ultralite S uses Vuzix Incognito technology, which eliminates forward light leakage in other optical waveguide solutions, thereby effectively protecting user privacy.
People other than the user can see what is displayed on the glasses, and Vuzix Incognito technology can eliminate this light and make others think that the user is wearing a normal pair of glasses.
Vuzix said the new VR glasses will likely appeal to users beyond athletes due to their “stylish and lightweight” design, and will be showcasing other recent Ultralite developments from Oems at CES 2024.
