Chinese device makers have been cranking out tiny Windows desktop PCs for the past few years, but many of the most affordable models have the specs of a dirt cheap laptop including eMMC flash storage instead of a higher-performance SSD.But the Vorke V1 Plus mini PC features a 10-watt Intel Celeron J3455 quad-core Apollo Lake processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 64GB solid-state drive and a 2.5-inch drive bay for additional storage.
Design
The VORKE V1 Plus MINI PC is quite a bit larger than most of the mini PCs we get in for review, although it’s still pretty small compared to a traditional computer. The tale of the tape reveals the actual dimensions to be 153.4*153.4*38mm/ 6.039*6.039*1.496inches and weight 390g/ 13.75oz, the V1 plus is cased in glossy black plastic that, in all honesty, feels and looks a bit cheap. There’s a light grey power button on the bottom right of the top surface and the manufacturer’s logo to the center. The V1 plus is well ventilated on either side but something we didn’t realize, prior to receiving the unit, is that there’s a fan inside so it’s not silent like most in the sector. It’s not especially loud but it is audible when playing video and audio which isn’t ideal.
Hardware
Intel Apollo Lake J3455, a quad-core processor, operates between 1.5 and 2.3GHz. Under the hood, it packs 2MB of L2 cache, TDP of 10W and an Intel HD Graphics 500 GPU.VORKE V1 Plus brags a 4GB DDR3 RAM and 64GB of SSD storage, drive although there is the option of expanding on this, internally, with 2-5-inch SATA drives thanks to the inclusion of a mounting plate and included screws. advantageous in performance, security, and reliability. Ascribing to the eMMC memory, it delivers a richer end-user experience. SSD Extendable, HDD 1TB.Gigabit LAN provides a data rate of 1 billion bits per second.
Features
Connectivity options are fairly plentiful with inputs and outputs placed on the front and at the rear. Front facing are two USB 2.0 ports and a micro SD card slot, whilst to the right of those and unusual for a mini-PC is an infra-red receiver. At the back, we have an HDMI 1.4 output next to a 15-pin D-SUB VGA connection. There’s also a Gigabit Ethernet connection, two USB 3.0 ports and a 3.5mm audio out jack for headphones or speakers. The Vorke V1 Plus, of course, has built-in Wi-Fi up to 802.11ac and there’s also Bluetooth Version 4.0 on-board.The ability to run Ubuntu is also commendable although unless you’re a Linux aficionado or anti-Microsoft, we’d fail to see why one would get rid of the existing Windows 10 installation.
4K
Prepare yourself a 4K monitor or TV, Vorke V1 Plus is powerful enough to output 4K video at 60Hz without the least problems thanks to its Intel Apollo Lake J3455 Processor.
Conclusion
Sure, it may not come with the expansion capabilities of this mini PC, but it is an infinitely more flexible option, especially if you’re a business and don’t want to worry about the hassle of aftersales. The VORKE V1 Plus MINI PC Available at GEEKBUYING in just $163.99 after using this coupon code: VKV1PL.if you looking a Smart mini PC I think it is a great choice.
