Vivo the Chinese smartphone company has just added a new model to the Y series portfolio and today launched the new Y90 smartphone in India. The smartphone falls under the entry-level segment which has an attractive starting price of 6990 INR (about ) for 2GB + ROM 16GB version.
The availability of the Vivo Y90 in online stores is not known yet, but we expect it go on sale via Flipkart and Amazon very soon. It comes in two color options of ‘Gold, and Black color.
Coming to its specs, Vivo Y90 features a 6.22-inch Halo FullView Display that produces HD+ (720×1520) resolution with 88.6% Screen-to-body Ratio. The smartphone is powered by a 2GHz 12nm MediaTek Helio A22 Quad-core chipset and comes in a single memory variant – 2GB RAM + 16GB storage which can expand by inserting a microSD card.
In terms of photographic capabilities, the Vivo Y90 comes with an 8MP (f2.0) single-rear camera with the help of LED flash, while on the front there is a 5MP selfie camera with f1.8 apreture. It is powered by a 4030mAh battery, the device runs Funtouch OS 4.1, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Sadly, there is no Android Pie out of the box, but we can expect the Pie update to roll out soon.
Its measures 155.11mm×75.09mm×8.28mm and weigh 163.5 grams. Connectivity features include 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0, GPS, Dual SIM with 4G, VoLTE feature. For additional security, the Vivo Y90 comes with AI Face unlock feature. Looking at its price which makes the phone hit Redmi 7A and Galaxy M10.
