Vivo in this year seems serious to innovate on several things. The company recently announced its flagship model for this year with Vivo APEX which features the Snapdragon 845 chipset, self-pop-up camera, and bezel-less design. The company also recently released a teaser of a model dubbed X21 and will be launched March 19th. Previously, the company also released an announcement that shows the launch date and this time the new teaser has been released on the official Vivo page which confirms the presence of a fingerprint sensor under the screen on Vivo X21.
In addition to confirming the presence of fingerprint sensor under the screen as it is on the Vivo X20 Plus UD version, this teaser also revealed that this device is in production. Weibo usually detects where the message is done and in this case, the smartphone is identified as a Vivo X21 display fingerprint device which means the model will not launch and is still waiting a few months before it will go on sale.
In the figure, the size of the fingerprint on the image seems to also make the assumption that the fingerprint sensor will cover up to half of the entire screen. It is expected that this time the technology is more flexible and the update of Vixo X20 is limited to only part of the screen. Vivo X21 is also expected to have a 6.01-inch high-performance AMOLED display 94% and is expected to be equipped with the newly developed Super HDR Vivo technology.
